This Privacy Policy explains how Omniclock (“the App”, “we”) processes personal data when you use our iOS application and the Omniclock support website.
1) What we (do and don’t) collect
1.1 Data you provide to us
- Support messages (email): your email address and the contents of your message when you contact us at [email protected].
1.2 Data processed by the App
- Timers & settings: created timers, theme selection, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not receive the contents of your timers on our servers.
- Notifications & Live Activities: to deliver alerts and show controls on the Lock Screen, iOS uses device tokens provided by Apple Push Notification service (APNs). We do not use these tokens to identify you as an individual.
1.3 Diagnostics & analytics
- Crash reports and basic usage analytics may be collected to keep the App reliable and improve features (e.g., which screens are used, session counts, app version, device model, iOS version).
- We do not collect the text/content of your timers for analytics.
- Provider(s): MixPanel (for Analytics).
If you disable analytics in iOS or in the App (if such a toggle exists), we respect that choice where technically feasible.
2) Purposes & legal bases (GDPR / Swiss FADP)
We process data for:
- Providing the App and core functions (timers, widgets, Live Activities, notifications) - performance of a contract / necessary for the service.
- Diagnostics and improvement - legitimate interests (keeping the App secure, stable, and useful).
- Communications (support replies) - legitimate interests or your request prior to a contract.
- Compliance and protection - legal obligation and legitimate interests (e.g., preventing misuse).
Where required (e.g., enabling notifications), we rely on your consent. You can withdraw consent in iOS settings at any time.
3) How we share data
We don’t sell personal data. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers that operate our analytics/diagnostics, hosting, or email (bound by contracts and confidentiality). [List provider names/links here].
- Apple (APNs, App Store, system services) as part of iOS functionality.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
4) International transfers
If data is processed outside Switzerland or the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) or rely on adequacy decisions where available. You can request details at [email protected].
5) Retention
- Support emails: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for limited archiving, unless you ask us to delete them sooner (subject to legal obligations).
- Analytics/diagnostics: kept for the minimum period needed to analyze stability and trends. [Insert typical window if known, e.g., 90 days].
- On-device timers and settings: remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
6) Your rights
Subject to local law (GDPR, Swiss FADP), you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Rectify inaccurate data;
- Erase data (“right to be forgotten”);
- Restrict or object to processing (incl. analytics based on legitimate interests);
- Data portability;
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., notifications);
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., the FDPIC in Switzerland or your EU data protection authority).
Contact us at [email protected] to exercise your rights. We may need to verify your identity.
7) Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., encrypted transport, access controls). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8) Children
Omniclock is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age where required by law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9) Third-party links
This Policy does not cover third-party services (e.g., Apple App Store, external websites) that are governed by their own privacy practices.
10) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the App or the law. We will post the new version with a new “Effective date” and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
